Ring size is measured by the outside of the insert.

To replace a tip top, remove the old tip by gentle heating the old tip tube. then grabbing it using a pair of pliers. Be careful not to overheat the rod blank, overheating it will damage the blank. Clean the tip of the rod where the old tip top was. Glue the new tip on using 5 minute araldite making sure to align the tip with the guides.
